Carl Street to Join YFT as Director of Behavioral Health Services
Dr. Gary L. Jones, Youth For Tomorrow CEO, has announced that Carl Street, Jr. will join the staff at the Bristow, VA private residential school, counseling and treatment center on July 6. He will become the Director of Behavioral Health Services. Street returns to an organization he served in various capacities from 1990-2005. His most recent appointment was with Prince William County Community Services as a Mental Health and Substance Abuse Therapist.
"We are grateful that Carl Street has returned to serve the children and families of Prince William County and surrounding jurisdictions as Director of Behavioral Health. Our boys, girls and their families will receive the benefit of his considerable professional skills and talents," stated Dr. Jones. "He has a record of accomplishments wherever he has served. We look to Carl’s Leadership and will work closely with our Director of Programs, Dr. Courtney Gaskins, and Director of Clinical Services, Dr. Terry Tinsley, to expand our Outpatient Services, Crisis Intervention Center and Diagnostic and Assessment services in Prince William and surrounding counties."
Street holds a M.A. in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and a B.A. in Psychology from George Mason University. He also holds certification in several mental health organizations including the National Council of Behavioral Health. About his return to YFT he commented. "The work that Youth For Tomorrow does in meeting the needs of youth and families has never left my heart and my passion for helping others. I feel blessed and privileged to be able to return to Youth For Tomorrow as part of a professional and caring team and organization whose focus is helping others. I am excited to have the opportunity to contribute to maintaining the high standard of excellence Youth For Tomorrow has established for providing counseling to our community."
Youth For Tomorrow has been helping at-risk children become responsible members of society for over 29 years. In 2014, 466 children were served in the residential program and 1800 in the five Behavioral Health Services Programs served by satellite offices in Woodbridge and Manassas.
