In Memory of JD Gibbs

“All of us at Youth For Tomorrow are deeply saddened at the loss of J.D. Gibbs, beloved son of our Founder and Chairman, Joe Gibbs and his wife Pat.

J.D. was a champion in all that he did and exemplified Christian faith, love of family and principled leadership that stand as a model for the youth we serve and for young people everywhere. For many years, J.D. was a major benefactor to the Christian mission of YFT and the children we serve.

We first knew J.D. when he was a young man and visited our campus with Coach Gibbs, who at the time was preparing for a successful Super Bowl game, but always had time for our residents. J.D. generously hosted our staff and Board members at Joe Gibbs Racing, impressing us with his gifts of leadership, humor and grace.

Our hearts go out to J.D.’s wife Melissa, his sons Jackson, Miller, Jason and Taylor, his brother Coy, and his father and mother, Coach Joe and Pat Gibbs.

All of us at Youth For Tomorrow will miss his wit, charm and faithful commitment to YFT. We will, indeed, miss him immensely.”
